How I started drumming!

Hey all!!! I am back with a new blog.

This time I am not going to talk about drum parts and their history! but I am going to talk about my history with drums!!

So here we go!!!

It was like 11 in the morning and I had my music class!!! as always I was very excited for it!!
As I stepped in my music room someone shouted my name  tawdrily !!!! "APOORV!!!! APOORV!!! APOORV!!"
I got scandalized!!! As soon as I turned back, my music teacher had drumsticks in his hand!! and I was like.... what did i do!!! is he going to hit me with those drumsticks!!!!
Obviously no! :P  I was wrong!!!
then after my all wrong thinking!!! He said  "YOU WILL PLAY DRUMS FROM NOW" and I was like <Who? me!!.> ... He said (yes you)!!! my whole class was shocked and even my bestfriend got shocked!!!!!
Within  seconds he took me to the other room where the drums were kept!!! He said ( jaa beta woh rhe tere drums>  I know i am being little filmy but really this happend :D :P!!

From that very moment I started playing drums!!
The first beat which I played was (Quarter Notes or 4/4)
After my music class "I was on top of the world"

The day ended!! and i was still that happy!!

Bass drum!

Drumming cant be done if there is no bass drum in the kit!! Today I'll tell you all about the history of the (Bass Drum).
...................................................................................................................................................................

          (BASS DRUM)

So here we go!!!

bass drum is a large drum that produces a note of low definite or indefinite pitch.
...................................................................................................................................................................
A bass drum is large in size. It is the 1st part of a drum kit........ and produces a low and deep sound.
It can be tuned also with a drum key.

HISTORY

The earliest known predecessor to the bass drum was the Turkish davul, a cylindrical drum that featured two thin heads. The heads were stretched over hoops and then attached to a narrow shell.[3][4] To play this instrument, a person would strike the right side of the davul with a large wooden stick, while the left side would be struck a rod. When struck, the davul produced a sound much deeper than that of the other drums in existence. Because of this unique tone, davuls were used extensively in war and combat, where a deep and percussive sound was needed to ensure that the forces were marching in proper step with one another. The military bands of the Ottoman Janissaries in the 18th century were one of the first groups to utilize davuls in their music; Ottoman marching songs often had a heavy emphasis on percussion, and their military bands were primarily made up of davul, cymbal and kettle drum players.  ( Source- Wikipedia)
